:pokeball: What is the Pokelith?
The Pokelith (a shorthand of Pokemon Monolith) is a project run by MerlinEmrys on deviantART where he is attempting to construct a Chibi Cosplay Onigiri of all original 151 Pokemon.  Pokemon are chosen via random number generator and posted/completed at least once a week*.  The long term goal is to enter the entire collection in the Anime Weekend Atlanta Art Competition.

And to spice things up, we’re gonna turn this into a GIANT game!  :D

:pokeball: How do I catch a Pokemon?
At least once a week*, a completed Pokemon Chibi-giri will be posted.  To catch that particular Poke-giri, simply be one of the first (depending on rarity) to post “Pokeball Go!” in a comment.  The rarity is as follows:

Common – First 150 comments
Uncommon – First 75 comments
Semi-rare – First 45 comments
Rare – First 30 comments
Legendary – First comment

Rarity is decided according to the availability of the Pokemon within the original Pokemon Red and Blue versions.

Each trainer is only allowed one of each Pokemon (including multiple evolutions—i.e. you cannot own both a Pikachu and a Raichu).

Certain Pokemon (the starters, their evolutions, and those not found in the wild) are not available for capture.  Each trainer gets to pick one starter Pokemon (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) to start with and evolve as the game progresses.  Some Pokemon can only be evolved (or adopted), some are only available through trade, and some are given for free as per the original games.

:pokeball: How many can I have?
Just like in the game, any trainer can only carry a maximum of six Pokemon at any given time.  If you already own six and wish to catch a new one, you will have to return one of your current Pokemon to Merlin’s PC (I will ask you which one after you catch the new one).  You will not be able to reclaim Pokemon from Merlin’s PC.  Rather, they will be offered up for adoption to other trainers at certain set intervals.  In short, if you miss catching a Pokemon, you might get a second chance to adopt it; and you must use strategy to build your team, don’t just nab every new Pokemon that pops up.

:pokeball: How do I evolve my Pokemon?
If the evolution of one Pokemon is posted, simply post “What?  My _(Pokemon’s Name)_ is evolving!?”  An unlimited amount of evolutions are available.  If you own the lower evolution, you can evolve it just by posting the comment.  (No skipping evolution levels—i.e. Charmander to Charizard).

Pokemon can also be evolved by Battling and Rare Candies given away as prizes in small, random events.

To advance to the first evolution, a Pokegiri needs 4 Evolution Points (EP).  To advance to the second evolution, a Pokegiri needs 5 EP.

:pokeball: How do I battle my Pokemon?
Pokemon Battles or Tournaments will be announced well in advanced.  All Battle information can be found here:  pokelith-project.deviantart.co…

NO BATTLES OUTSIDE OF MY SANCTIONED EVENTS WILL BE COUNTED TOWARDS THE POKELITH GAME.

:pokeball: Are there Gym Badges or other Items?
There are indeed!  Check the link for Gym Badges and Items at the top of this entry.

:pokeball: Can I trade my Pokemon with other Trainers?
There will be announced “Trading Days” periodically.  The particulars will be announced later.  No tradesies-backsies.

NO TRADES OUTSIDE OF MY SANCTIONED EVENTS WILL BE COUNTED TOWARDS THE POKELITH GAME.

:pokeball: How do I adopt Pokemon from Merlin’s PC?
There will be announced “Adoption Days” periodically.  Adoption information can be found here: pokelith-project.deviantart.co… are still only allowed six Pokemon max and no duplicates or evolutionary families (i.e. – no Pikachu and a Raichu).

:pokeball: How do I sign up?
Just post a message in this journal saying “I’m ready to begin my Pokemon journey!”  And you’re all set.  You’ll be asked to choose a starter Pokemon and informed of any upcoming Adoption, Trading, or Battles.

THE MORE PEOPLE WHO SIGN UP TO PLAY MEANS THE MORE OF EACH POKEMON WILL BE AVAILABLE!!!  TELL YOUR DA FRIENDS!!!!!

I really hope you guys enjoy this!  It’s gonna be a long haul, but a lot of fun, I think!  :D  Depending on the success, this might continue across the other generations!
